Libraries are wardrobes of literature. -George Dyer
We went in to see the Book of Kells and the Library today. It was gorgeous! But for today I wanted to reflect on a book we had to read for this course that was written by our professor. In chapter 6 of his book he writes about leadership and says, "Learning to lead boils down to focusing your time and managing how you respond to your environment. Your passion about a given undertaking and your attitude towards the people you lead must match your rhetoric." This is one of the many parts that stood out to me in the fact that responding to he changing environment is an important aspect of leadership. I want to become a better leader in some areas of my life and this is such a good take away in the ever changing environments of my life. Some people would think that having a good attitude is just an aspect of being a better person, but the fact that it is such a needed aspect of being a good leader stood out to me. I hope to reflect on this in the future consistently.
